Service Delivered
Gedurende 1982 is die eerste Internasionale jaar vir ouer persone gevier. Wêreldwyd is ‘n oproep gedoen vir meer gemeenskapsdienste om ouer persone in staat te stel om so lank moontlik onafhanklik en selfstandig in die gemeenskap te bly. Uit die Studente Gemeenskapsdiens van die PU vir CHO (nou NWU, Potchefstroomkampus), is dienste aan ouer persone van Potchefstroom begin. Op Dinsdag 3 Augustus 1982 het die Mooirivierklub-byeenkoms ontstaan wat ’n jaar later op 1 Oktober 1983 gelei het tot die vestiging van die dienssentrum.
