Situated in the historical town of Potchefstroom, we enjoy the advantages of a safe and tranquil setting only 120 km from Gauteng. The High School for Girls Potchefstroom was founded in 1905 and although we are proud of our rich heritage of tradition, we pursue a dynamic approach to embrace and adapt to the challenge of meeting the future needs of our learners. At Girls High, we are driven by what works best for girls and young women. Research shows that girls in monastic education are offered more opportunities to succeed. We do more than provide encouragement and set high expectations - we teach our girls how to succeed. The High School for Girls Potchefstroom is listed on the Sunday Times's Top 100 Schools list and we are proud of an unbroken record of 100% matric pass rate and 95% University entrance. Weekly and full time boarders live in the heart of the school, allowing them to participate fully in the afternoon and evening activities.
