Job Description
To plan, direct and coordinate bakery operations by overseeing the HOD team responsible for sustained and profitable bakery operations including distributions and sales, in line with the requirements of the Bakeries strategy, budgets, also ensuring a high performance culture (The Premier way).

Manufacturing Acadamy Qualification / equivalent National qualification
Business related qualification
South African Chamber of Baking Qualification
Experience Requirements
Plant Bakery Manager in FMCG at a plant producing min 5000-6000 loaves per hour, 5-7 years * Essential
Skills / Knowledge
·       Bakery manufacturing best practices and process requirements
·       Strategy translation, scorecard cascading and performance management
·       Financial acumen, planning, budgeting and cost control principles
·       Risk/ HSE requirements for industry
·       Leadership and People management principles
·       Sales and customer relations management principles and processes for formal and informal markets

To drive profitable and cost effective operations through:
To ensure operational excellence through the management of outsourced service provider performance in line with agreed service level agreements.
To ensure consistent top-quality product for our consumers by:
To ensure continuous improvement of operations through the planning, implementation, management and optimization of the site equipment and processes for optimal productivity in line with the full capacity of the plant.
To stimulate customer demand in order to utilize full capacity of the bakery by delivery cost effective quality products and ensuring cost effective distribution, sales, marketing, CSI and customer relationships.
The ensure people capacity by creating a competent workforce able to deliver on their scorecards in line with the requirements of their roles and targets through training and development.
To ensure an engaged and high performing workforce by owning, living and driving the Premier way through his leadership team, ongoing coaching and mentoring.
