Sipho's Early Years and Achievements
Born on 2nd November 1951, Sipho Cecil Peter Mabuse, professionally known as Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, is a renowned South African singer-songwriter. Raised in Soweto, he started his musical journey with the Afro-soul group, the Beaters, in the mid-1970s. After touring Zimbabwe, they rebranded as Harari. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable artists like Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, and Ray Phiri.
Return to Education
In a commendable move, Mabuse returned to school at the age of 60, completing his matric in 2012. President Jacob Zuma lauded him, emphasizing the importance of education at any age.
Controversies at SAMRO
