Good Habits Start Early
The significance of instilling good habits from a young age cannot be understated, especially in today's fast-paced world. Just the day before yesterday, the Grade 8 SETH students at Hoerskool Ferdinand Postma High School embarked on a valuable learning journey that highlighted the essence of leading a healthy life and making informed decisions.
Insightful Session with Kean van Rensburg
Guiding the students through this enlightening journey was Kean van Rensburg, an accomplished fourth-year Dietetics student from North-West University (NWU).
Through his well-crafted, interactive session, Kean shed light on the importance of being conscious of what we consume. He also broke down the potential advantages and disadvantages that certain dietary choices can have on one's life.
Kean's approach, which combined information with engagement, allowed the students to grasp the long-term implications of daily dietary choices and the value of self-awareness when it comes to nutrition.
A Glimpse of the Future
Welcoming the Future Ferdies The day was made even more special with the presence of two prospective students, fondly referred to as #futureferdies.
These young enthusiasts were not mere observers but actively participated, sharing their views and experiences. Their interaction with the Grade 8 SETH students added a layer of camaraderie to the day's events, signifying a bright future for the next batches.
A Healthier Tomorrow
Marching Towards a Healthier Tomorrow With initiatives like these, marked by hashtags such as #dietetics and #healthyliving, it's clear that our community is committed to equipping the younger generation with the knowledge and tools they need to lead a wholesome life.
