Potchefstroom High School for Boys Shine in Home Tournament
The soccer grounds of Potchefstroom High School for Boys were buzzing with excitement, passion, and some incredible soccer talent on 14th October. As the sun began to rise at 7:30 am, 16 determined teams kicked off in the school's highly anticipated annual soccer tournament.
Under 16s Face Off
In the under 16 category, Potch Boys met their match with Fields College. Despite a hard-fought game, the home team fell short with a final score of 1-2.
Although the Potch Boys couldn't clinch victory, the spirit on the field was palpable. The title of "Man of the Tournament" for the U16s was awarded to the dynamic Kganya Mojolwane from Fields College.
U19 Clash
Potch Boys vs Fields College Our very own U19s showed resilience and skill, coming out on top with a decisive 3-1 victory.
And it was none other than Maeko from PHBS who stole the spotlight with his game-changing moves, earning himself the title of Man of the Tournament.
Special Honours
There was also a heartwarming moment when our cherished PHSB Principal, Mrs. L. van der Merwe, was presented with a trophy of appreciation. A testament to her unwavering support for the sports and the boys.
