First aid training may not be the latest music festival, but it’s definitely a worthwhile event to attend, especially if you’re keen on picking up some life-saving skills without all the loud music. EPSA is bringing an Accredited First Aid Training course to Potchefstroom, and this one’s got all the essentials to get you prepared for emergencies.

Where and When?
The training will be held on Monday, 25 November 2024, at Kumkani Country Lodge on 37 Parys Avenue, Baillie Park, Potchefstroom. Mark the date and set the alarm early – the course kicks off at 08:30 AM and wraps up by 4:00 PM.
What’s It All About?
This isn’t just any run-of-the-mill course. The training focuses on Performing Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures – Level 1. It’s aligned with the unit standard (US: 119567) and packs in 5 NQF credits for those who need to keep track.
This course is for everyone, really – whether you’re that family member always stuck with “responsibility duties,” or just an average Joe or Jane looking to pick up some valuable skills. Employers who need to keep their teams OHS compliant are also welcome to send their staff over.

What’s Included?
The R1,250 price tag (excluding VAT) covers everything you need:
Learning Material – You’ll get a learner guide and an assessment guide to keep you on track.
Refreshments and Lunch – No need to pack your own padkos; refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
Assessment Cost – All tests and evaluations are sorted.
Certificate – About 4-6 weeks after completing the training, attendees will receive an electronic certificate to show off their new skills.

Why Attend?
Knowing what to do in an emergency could be the difference between panic and action. This course aims to equip people with the skills to stabilise a patient until professional help arrives. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or stranger who needs help, you’ll be the one prepared to step up.
