LiquidLuxe is hosting The Whisky Classic – Klerksdorp on 31 May 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a proper jol for whisky lovers. Hosted at The Hub, corner of Arnold & Wessels at 30B Ian Street, Flimieda, the event promises an evening of smooth drams, live tunes, and no under-21s trying to sneak in.
12 Distilleries, One Night Only
The line-up of distilleries reads like a whisky geek’s dream. Expect pours from heavyweights like The Glenlivet, The Balvenie, Jameson, Glenfiddich, Maker’s Mark, Laphroaig, The Dalmore, and more. Whether you're a peathead or a bourbon fan, there’ll be something to swirl in your glass.
Even better, you’re not just sipping—you’re exploring. Rare releases, new drops, and the usual suspects will all be there. Your entry includes a whisky glass (for keeps), a tasting passport (stamp away), and a bottle of still water (because we’re all grown-ups now).

There are two types of tickets, depending on how deep into the dram-verse you want to go:
General Access (R475)
All the floor tastings, glass, passport, and water included. Bonus: Buy 1, get 1 free. That’s a proper score.
Masterclass + General (R800)
Includes everything above, plus access to an exclusive upstairs masterclass limited to 30 guests. If you want to flex your whisky knowledge or just act fancy for a bit, this is the one.
What to expect
There will be live music. So yes, you’ll be able to sip something smoky while nodding along under the stars. Food and cocktails will also be on hand if your stomach starts asking questions mid-way through the tasting passport.
