Potch gets a gospel rewind
On 23 April 2025, the NWU Gospella Arts Society will celebrate its 10-year journey with a special unplugged event, fittingly titled Back to the Roots. The event kicks off at 13:00 in the NWU Heimatbuilding F9.
Not your average Easter gig
The event promises more than just music. In the group’s own words: “Join us for an hour, as we expose a reflection of our truest image—not from a mirror or picture, but from the eyes of our Creator.” Deep stuff. Expect an hour of stripped-back performances and spiritual throwbacks, rooted in gospel tradition with a modern NWU twist.
A decade of Gospella
For ten years, Gospella has been bringing musical diversity to the Potch community, and this event looks set to be a tribute to both their journey and the voices that’ve shaped it. It’s a nod to where it all started—unplugged, unfiltered, and unapologetically soulful.
