Lace up those tekkies, Potchefstroom, it’s time for the Oaktober Family Fun Run!
On Saturday, October 12th, from 08:00 to 10:00, the good people of Potch will be hitting the road from Cachet Park to the Dam and back – and they’ll be doing it in style. And by style, we mean some of the craziest outfits you can imagine. This isn’t your regular fun run; it’s a day filled with laughter, a bit of exercise, and a candy hunt along the oak-lined streets.
Why You Should Join
We’re not just running for fun here, though that’s definitely on the cards. The event celebrates Potchefstroom Central School’s centenary as well as the iconic trees of Oak Avenue. And let’s be honest, who can resist a good candy hunt while you walk, run, or casually stroll through the avenue? You might burn some calories, but you’ll definitely be making up for it with all the sweets you’ll collect on the way!
Dress Up and Show Off
Now, don’t think you can just pitch up in your usual gym gear. Oaktober is all about getting festive – wear your most outlandish outfit and you could find yourself turning heads. Whether it’s a bunny onesie or a superhero cape, anything goes. The crazier, the better!
