A New Kind of DIY with Lize-Marié Loubser
Local art lovers, casual crafters, and anyone who’s tired of their boring water bottle – there’s something fresh brewing in Potch this May. My Creative Fix is launching a new workshop that’s all about turning your everyday hydration into a personalised masterpiece.
On 3 May 2025, head down to 9 Reitz Street, Bult, Potchefstroom, where Lize-Marié Loubser (yes, the same creative behind Flowers for Days) will be leading a three-hour painting class that’s equal parts relaxed and rewarding.
Water Bottles, But Make It Art
In this session, you’ll be handed your own aluminium water bottle – blank, pristine, and begging for a touch of flair. Under Lize-Marié’s steady hand and friendly guidance, you’ll work step-by-step through the process of creating a painted design that’s totally your own.
This isn’t one of those “just follow the template” gigs. Whether you’re the type who doodles for stress relief or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush since grade school, this is all about the joy of colour and creativity – no pressure, just paint.
What You Get for R300
The R300 price tag gets you the full experience:
A high-quality aluminium bottle to take home
All painting supplies
Step-by-step guidance from Lize-Marié
Tea, coffee, and light refreshments
A relaxed, come-as-you-are vibe
You'll also learn how to seal your artwork, so your new creation survives the wild world of backpacks, car cupholders, and gym bags.
