The Panthers Netball Club – Cubs division – is rolling out the courts and setting up the cones for a full day of netball chaos (the good kind) on 5 April 2025 at Ferdinand Postma High School, right here in Potchefstroom. If you’re aged between 10 and 13, can tell your centre pass from your sideline throw-in (or not – that’s what the clinic is for), then this one’s for you.
At R400 per player, it’s a one-day, no-nonsense, netball-deep-dive – with drills, fitness, game tactics, and probably a lot of enthusiastic shouting. Walk-in registrations are also welcome on the day, starting at 08:00 sharp – cash only if you’re doing the last-minute thing.
What’s on the Cards?
The day kicks off at 08:00 with registration and some icebreaker antics. From there, it’s all go:
Warm-up drills to get the legs moving
Fun fitness (yes, that’s apparently a thing) – including plyo, speed, and agility games
Ball handling & passing techniques
Attacking play, including how to move in the circle and feed off it
Defensive drills – one-on-ones, zone defence, and structures
Tactical sessions covering transitions, centre passes and throw-ins
A Q&A with coaches that wraps up with real-time court scenarios
And finally, a cool down (yes, you'll want this part)
There’s even a special lunch session just for the coaches, tackling things like tactical analysis and how to keep players motivated without resorting to bribery.
