Nova Fitness is back, and they're not tiptoeing into their new space – they're flipping tyres and flinging kettlebells straight into the action. To mark the grand reopening of their new premises at West Acres Centre, 20 Retief Street, Potch, Nova is throwing down the gauntlet with their first-ever NOVA GRIT GAMES, happening on 1 May 2025.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work (or At Least Gets You a Prize)
This ain’t your average gym class. It’s a test of grit, guts, and who’s got the strongest grip. The event is open to teams of two with a humble R100 entry fee – cheaper than a takeaway and far better for your core.
Kicking off from 8:45 to 10:00 AM, with the gym officially opening doors at 9:00 AM, teams will get stuck into a mix of challenges designed to make muscles weep and egos wobble.
Not Just for the Buffest of Buffs
Nova’s made it clear – this is about energy and effort, not just flexing in the mirror. There are prizes to be won, including:
Best Dressed Team (time to dust off the superhero capes)
Most Energetic Team (bring the noise, the vibe, and probably a speaker)
And the beloved Wooden Spoon Award – because showing up and finishing last still deserves a cheer and a chuckle.
Entries close on 25 April 2025, so don’t leave it to the last minute like your New Year’s resolution.
Celebrate the Space, Not Just the Sweat
It’s more than a competition – it’s a celebration of Nova Fitness’ fresh start. The new location isn’t just a building, it’s a launchpad for a community of everyday athletes (and the occasional gym bro) to push limits, make gains, and have a proper laugh along the way.
