Potchefstroom’s First Club Run of 2025
Runners in Potchefstroom, lace up those takkies and get ready to hit the road! The Orange Train Half Marathon is coming on Friday, 21st March 2025, setting off from Eleazer Road, Potchefstroom. It’s the first club run of the year, and let’s be honest—what better way to shake off the holiday laziness than a good, old-fashioned half marathon?
Distance Options for All Fitness Levels
Participants can choose between 5km, 10km, or 21km distances, so whether you’re a casual jogger or a hardcore ultra-runner in disguise, there’s something for everyone.
The race kicks off at 5:30 AM for a 6:00 AM start, so expect to be up before the sun—perfect for those who love a good sunrise run (or just need to beat the heat).
Lime Is the Theme—But No Margaritas
The theme for this year is Lime, so don’t be shy—dig out those bright green outfits. Whether it’s a neon cap, lime-coloured socks, or full-on green tights, it’s time to get into the spirit. Just don’t expect any margaritas at the finish line.
The Cost? Just a Donation Fee
For a small donation fee of R90, runners get the chance to take part in this community-driven event. Tough runs don’t last, but tough runners do—and this one’s all about endurance and spirit.
