Cycling enthusiasts, adrenaline junkies, and weekend warriors – get your gravel bikes ready. The Venterskroon Inn Gravel Race is back, promising a tough but rewarding ride through one of South Africa’s best gravel race routes.
The Race Breakdown
The event takes place on Saturday, 22 March 2025, with registration kicking off bright and early at 05:30. Cyclists can test their legs (and their sanity) over various distances, each offering its own mix of challenge and adventure:
115 km – For the hardcore cyclists who enjoy suffering.
80 km – Still tough, but slightly less soul-crushing.
52 km – The sweet spot between endurance and fun.
20 km – A proper test, without needing a recovery week.
10 km – For those who want to enjoy the ride and not question their life choices.

A Second Chance for the Latecomers
Can’t make it on 22 March? No problem. The organisers have added a second date for those who like to keep their options open: 6 July 2025. Same place, same routes, same post-race war stories.

This gravel showdown happens at Venterskroon Inn, in the heart of the Vredefort Dome. Expect rolling gravel roads, stunning scenery, and just enough climbs to make you question your life decisions.
