Description:
ART-IST Collective is an artist-led initiative established to address structural gaps within the arts industry. The collective creates more accessible exhibition opportunities for artists while also working to make the purchase of original artworks more attainable for collectors and art enthusiasts.
Its activities connect artists, curators, collectors and audiences through exhibitions and collaborative projects. The collective supports both emerging and established artists by creating additional platforms through which their work can be exhibited, promoted and sold.
Artists associated with its curatorial projects include Wonder Buhle Mbambo, Dane “DaneStops” Knudsen, Sthenjwa Luthuli, Harry Lock and Lusanda Ndita.
