Section 13 or 26D (completed learnership / apprenticeship) Boilermaker Trade Certificate as recognised by the QTCO.
At least 3 years’ experience as a qualified Boilermaker Aide / Apprentice / Artisan within a mining/plant environment.
Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Clear security screening record.
Additional Requirements:
Valid Fork Lift and Mobile Crane driver’s licence will be advantageous.
Duties Include:
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance, Installations and Construction • Adhere to equipment maintenance, installation and construction of work place facilities to standards and specifications. • All maintenance, installations and constructions to be inspected and checked for quality purposes. • Safe, correct and effective application of equipment and machinery utilised during duties. • Adherence to maintenance schedules. • Attending to mechanical breakdowns. • Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful maintenance, installation and constructions. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Administration • Completion of relevant documentation. • Adherence to document control standards and procedures. • Provisioning of data and information. • Safekeeping of documentation. • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Relations • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. • Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
Financial Management • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. • Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations. Building a values-based organisational culture • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
