Requirements
CA(SA) – newly registered or completing final steps toward registration
Completed articles
Strong technical grounding in IFRS for SMEs and general accounting principles
Experience using cloud accounting software, especially Xero (advantageous)
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with professionalism
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Passion for working with SMEs, entrepreneurs and growing businesses
Duties Include:
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
Performing independent reviews, accounting technical assessments, and financial statement preparation
Overseeing bookkeeping team outputs, including reviews of Xero, Dext and Hubdoc processing
Managing and resolving SARS queries, tax compliance and client follow-ups
Preparing VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and Provisional Tax computations and submissions
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management for multiple SME clients
