Fitter and Turner Multi skill ( Winders)

Experience Needed:

We are looking for a highly qualified skilled Fitter and turneer with Multi Skill to join our dedicated team in the underground mining industry. the successful candidte will be responsible for maintenance, repair and operation of winder systems and other mechanical equipment used in the mining sector

Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on underground mining winders, hoisting systems, and associated mechanical components. U se lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to fabricate and repair mechanical parts for winder systems. Oversee and perform winding tasks, including the operation and maintenance of winches, hoists, and other equipment crucial for underground operations. Conduct thorough troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues related to winders and mining. Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe working conditions in an underground environment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs and parts used.

Duties Include:

Desired Experience & Qualification Must have proven experience as a fitter and turner with expertise in underground mining with winders and hoisting systems. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with underground mining equipment, including winder, winches and hoists. A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Must have strong problem -solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues. Must have knowledge of underground mining safety standards and best practised. Must have a valid driver’s licence (underground mine site may require transportation to and from site)
