Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (advantageous).
Certification or formal training in Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (Ansul, Dafo, Firematic or equivalent) will be a strong advantage.
Valid driver’s licence.
Minimum 3–5 years’ Supervisory experience in the fire suppression or mining maintenance environment.
Experience supervising teams and managing site operations on a mine.

Job Description
Manage and oversee all activities related to the installation, servicing, maintenance, and monthly inspections of Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems on mining site.
Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with OEM specifications, client standards, and legal requirements.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise site technicians and support staff responsible for suppression system installations and maintenance.
Maintain strict compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, SANS standards, and internal CSA procedures.
Plan daily work activities, allocate resources, and ensure all tasks are executed safely and efficiently.
Engage directly with clients, mine representatives, and stakeholders to provide updates on progress, challenges, and corrective actions.
Identify and resolve site-related issues promptly, including technical challenges, delays, equipment failures, and safety concerns.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure systems meet operational requirements and pass functional testing.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, services, installations, test results, job cards, permits, and safety documentation.
Ensure all technicians follow proper safety protocols, including lockout procedures, hot-work requirements, and site-specific rules.
Coordinate training, toolbox talks, and upskilling for site personnel where required.
Be willing and able to work on various mining sites as projects or client requirements change.
