DRDGOLD Far West Gold Recoveries (PTY) LTD is seeking a highly disciplined and experienced SNR Asset Protection Officer to join our Asset Protection Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets, personnel, and operations. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in mining security, excellent investigative skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor, patrol and protect company premises, assets and personnel
Support the implementation of security policies, procedures and SOP’s to ensure consistent operational standards
Enforce access control and ensure compliance with site entry and exit procedures
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms or emergencies, ensuring effective resolution
Conduct investigations into thefts, losses or security breaches, and compile detailed reports
Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and recommend corrective and preventative measures
Supervise co-ordinate with contract service providers
Manage incident scenes, preserving evidence and ensuring proper reporting procedures are followed
Control and monitor the movement of precious metals, materials and equipment smelt house wide
Liaise with management, law enforcement and regulatory authorities when required
