- A completed BCom Accounting degree (3-year qualification)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken)
- A strong willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical ability
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
Duties Include:
Prepare and maintain accounting records for sole proprietors, partnerships, trusts, close corporations, and companies across various industries.
Process monthly bookkeeping transactions, including bank reconciliations, supplier and customer accounts, and general ledger entries.
Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with relevant reporting standards (e.g., IFRS for SMEs).
Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax).
Perform payroll processing and payroll compliance including EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5 submissions.
Conduct basic assurance and audit procedures, such as testing controls, performing substantive testing, and documenting work performed for review.
Assist in drafting working papers and compiling audit evidence under supervision.
Communicate directly with clients to request documents, clarify information, and provide feedback professionally.
Support in preparing management accounts and financial reports for decision-making purposes.
Learn and apply relevant legislation such as the Companies Act, Tax Acts, and applicable financial reporting frameworks.
