Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Health and Safety Officer in a construction and/or manufacturing environment
Relevant Health and Safety qualification (SAMTRAC or NEBOSH)
Must be registered with SACPCMP

Duties Include:
We have a new position available for a Safety Officer. The ideal candidate should be reliable, self-managed, punctual, organised, diligent, enthusiastic, and eager to develop and grow the Safety Department within the group.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety and Mine Health and Safety legislation across the group
Advise on safety measures and conduct regular risk assessments for maintenance sites
Promote and enforce a culture of safety throughout the organisation
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
Provide health and safety training to employees
Review client SHE specifications and ensure compliance
Compile and communicate safety files for construction sites
Compile and communicate safety files for maintenance sites
Compile and communicate safety files for sites within the group
Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities
Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions
Respond to and manage IOD incidents when required
Attend construction site safety meetings and safety audits
Manage site-specific safety representatives
Conduct internal safety audits on subcontractors
Additional Info:
Previous experience working on Valterra or Anglo American sites will be advantageous
