Technical Competencies:
Working knowledge of relevant legal frameworks, court procedures, and statutory requirements.

Duties Include:
GL Attorneys is an incorporated law firm, established during 2003. We specialize in collections and recoveries, including early stage, pre-legal and legal, with a national legal action footprint. Our clients include commercial banks and corporate entities. Our employment demographic is compliant with the relevant Employment Equity Act. Current staff compliment is in excess of 250 individuals. GL Attorneys is proudly South African and a B-BBEE Level 1 Contributor. We are registered with the Legal Practice Council. All monies collected on behalf of our clients are subjected to the applicable legislation, rules, and regulations associated with an attorney’s trust account.
Duties & Responsibilities
Attend to legal processes efficiently and within required timeframes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, court rules, and internal policies through the implementation of standard procedures.
Handle defended litigation matters, including consultation with clients and counsel, and preparation for trial.
Assist with legal drafting, review and signing of legal documents.
Provide support to the Senior Associate by managing overflow legal work across client portfolios.
Appear in court as required, within the firm’s jurisdiction.
Prepare and submit reports to clients and/or Directors timeously, liaising with the Data Team for consistent communication.
In the absence of the Senior Associate, assist with team supervision, including managing attendance, performance, and addressing staff queries or complaints.
Perform ad hoc tasks and assignments as directed by the Directors or Senior Management.
