Minimum Grade 11 pass, Matric/Grade 12 will be preferred
Driver’s License
Comp B Certificate (Certificates to be included in Cv)
≥ 2 years’ experience
Basic understanding of Mechanics is required.
Maintenance experience in Trackless Equipment (LHD & UV) in the
Mining Environment will be an advantage.
Must have worked with tools before, even if it is on cars or similar.
A positive attitude towards work and making a difference is
required.
Candidate must understand the basics of safety, cost, reliability,
accountability and ownership.
The candidate will have to arrange his own transport.
Good health and timekeeping are an essential requirement.

Duties Include:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Report to the Artisan / Chargehand.
Do Planned Maintenance (Services & Improvements) on GHH
Mining Machines in a manner that promotes reliability with total
cost saving to the Client.
Assist the Artisan with all the functions required by doing proper
Planned Maintenance; this will include but not be limited to the
following:
Wash the Exhausts of TMM.
Grease & Lubricate the Machines.
Change the Filters.
Do basic fitting like Flexible Pipes and others.
Do away with the old oil as per Procedure.
Clean the Workshop & Tools.
Collect Spares.
Clean the Workshop & Tools.
It might also be required to help with Breakdown Maintenance both
Surface and Underground on GHH Machines and Additional
Machinery as Instructed by Lead Artisan (Charge Hand).
Attend and contribute to all required Safety Talks & Actions.
Follow & adhere to all Mine Rules & Procedures.
Good time keeping.
Candidate must be able to work shifts as required
Record Keeping.
