Role Overview:
This role replaces current SME who have advanced to Senior Training Officer position. The ideal candidates will bring hands-on trade expertise, experience in mentoring, and a passion for shaping the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Responsibilities:
Deliver practical and theoretical training modules to enhance student understanding and employability
Plan, coordinate, and conduct practical demonstrations and workshops aligned to current industry standards
Assess, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to learners, track and report on student progress
Develop and update training materials, lesson plans, and assessments to reflect industry changes
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safety-conscious learning environment
Collaborate with academic staff to integrate curriculum with industry needs
Participate in quality assurance processes and contribute to program improvement initiatives
Potential to facilitate and moderate assessments and classroom activities as part of a structured program
