MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
BSc Honours Degree in Geology is essential.
Membership of the GSSA is essential.
Registration as Professional Scientist with SA Council for Natural Scientific Professions is essential.
MSC Degree in Geology is desirable.
Membership in SAIMM is desirable.
Minimum 7-9 years experience in mineral resource environment is essential.
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a management role is essential.

Duties Include:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Acts as Competent Person for Mineral Resources at Impala.
Good geological understanding of the Bushveld mineralisation
Develops technical Mineral Resources reporting standards and ensures compliance to such standards through scientific auditing.
Ensures proper principles are adhered to in the development of the geological/exploration budget programmes.
Provides high-level professional advice regarding Mineral Resources, inclusive of new business development initiatives.
Facilitate multi-disciplinary functioning in the mine planning and geological exploration of new mining areas.
Does accurate and timeous management reporting on Mineral Resources for management information purposes and liaise with relevant role players.
Ensures that Geologists have the appropriate tools and skills for correct Mineral Resources evaluation and reporting.
Develops and maintains appropriate systems for the understanding of the orebody to allow correct and accurate estimation and reporting of Mineral Resources.
Lead Mineral Resource Internal and External Auditing
Consolidates Mineral Resources reporting for Impala. Table 1 reporting and compliance to SAMREC code.
Provides input into the consolidated Annual Reporting of Mineral Resources for Impala.
