Duties Include:
· Strategic Sourcing:
· Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers
· Cost Management:
· Identifying cost reduction opportunities, managing spend within budget, and analysing market trends to inform procurement strategies.
· Supplier Relationship Management:
· Inventory Management:
· Compliance:
· Project Management:
· Reporting:
· Understanding the FMCG market:
· Familiarity with market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitor activities.
· Dealing with perishable goods:
· Managing inventory of products with short shelf lives, including managing returns and spoilage.
· Collaboration with internal stakeholders:
· Working closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure timely procurement and meet customer needs.
· Negotiating with suppliers:
· Negotiating favourable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
