ROLE SUMMARY:
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling and coordinating mining operations from the central control room to ensure safe, efficient and continuous production

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Adherence to the shift production plan

Assist in execution of process maintenance

Process control within defined recipe

Ensure adherence to all safety (i.e. create awareness of hazards and behaviour)

Record production stoppages and equipment breakdowns in order to take corrective action to improve section availability

Provide an effective control room operator service to ensure daily production targets are met

Report system malfunctions immediately and lead communications to advise system users of outages and progress

Accurate recording of standing hours and outage times, escalate anomalies to Supervisor

Monitor the service and portable water supply for underground use

Apply appropriate stand by and/or call out procedures

Compile reports as requested by Supervisor

Maintain and operate the control room systems / functions to quality standards

Maintain good control room housekeeping standards

Effective team and self-management in alignment with Clients values

Reporting of any accidents and incidents
