3 Years' experience as a C1 Miner in most of the disciplines (roof / face prep, charging, and blasting)
Valid Code 8/EB Driver's License
Must obtain symbol B at Dover Assessment

Duties Include:
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Miner role is to safely plan, supervise and execute mining activities, including drilling, blasting, support installation and production operations, while ensuring compliance with mine standards, safety procedures and production targets.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Manage crew to meet production targets. Manage safety, health and environmental issues in section
Ensure competence of crew members
Demonstrate continuous drive to improve overall section performance, including implementation of safety initiatives
Act as Relieving Shift Boss at times
Manage more complex mining activities
Identify training and development needs of crew
Ensure to take reasonable measures to ensure the health and safety of employees responsible for inspection
Conduct starts and end of shift inspections
Perform risk assessments
Conduct at least rescue drill with team per schedule
Oversee housekeeping of section
Ensure compliance on PPE and hand tools usage
Ensure services meets mine requirements
