REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 or Equivalent Qualification
1 Year experience as a Belt Attendant
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to lift and move heavy objects when needed
Duties Include:
PURPOSE:
To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Conveyor Belt.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Inspection on belts, boxes, rollers, frames and scrapers
Monitor conveyor belt operations to ensure smooth and efficient performance
Perform regular maintenance checks on conveyor belts and related equipment
Ensure that all tools and equipment are on good working condition
Report any faults on the belt to the Team Leader for action
Assist Team Leader during belt repairs, replacement, etc. when requested
Adhere to safety measures, incumbent to maintain good housekeeping practices in his/her area of responsibility
Adhere to all standard/managerial instructions and procedures
