Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric)
A Food Safety Qualification, Occupational Health & Safety, Consumer Studies or a related field is often preferred or required.
Proven experience in a food safety, quality assurance, or similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, etc.)
Strong computer literacy (MS Office and reporting systems)
Duties Include:
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and storage areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Implement and maintain pest control procedures to prevent contamination risks.
Manage and investigate complaints related to food safety and hygiene.
Enforce allergen management practices and ensure compliance with packaging and labelling legislation across the supply chain.
Support investigations into incidents, accidents, and foodborne illness outbreaks to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain thorough documentation and reporting in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
