**Requirements:** • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written) • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to get to and from work • Must be willing and able to work standby duty every second week and weekend • Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure • Immediate availability preferred • A genuine love for animals and ability to handle them safely and confidently • Willingness to learn and understand the **Animal Protection Act** and other relevant legislation • Physically fit and comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments • Able to handle emotionally difficult situations involving injured, abandoned, or abused animals • Willing to attend formal training courses and exams when required • Must be responsible, self-motivated, and work well independently or in a small team
