Human Resources Manager (Mining)

Experience Needed:

Relevant HR post graduate qualification is essential, preferably honours in Labour Relations. Extensive experience and knowledge of Industrial / Employee Relations in a unionised environment. Minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience in middle to top management would be advantageous. Experience within a contracting / mining environment will be an added advantage. Good working knowledge of LRA (CCMA), BCEA, EEA, SDA, MHSA, OHSA, BBBEE. In-depth and comprehensive understating of the collective agreement of the BCCEI (Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry).


Sound oral, written and computer literacy is essential. Ability to focus on the full spectrum of Human Resources, from general routine processes to strategic. Must be able and willing to travel, as and when required.

The position requires a Human Resources Generalist with a strong Industrial / Employee Relations background, reporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager. The incumbent must be a self-starter with sound business acumen. The results orientated individual must partner with Senior Management and provide impeccable hands-on HR services. Passion for service excellence, high quality output and willing to take on more responsibility, to drive the business Human Resources initiatives forward. Ability to respond and adapt effectively to a constant changing environment. In summary, the ideal candidate is to have a desire to succeed, high energy levels, willing to adapt, develop, all within a proactive and hands-on working environment.
