Qualifications & Experience
Depending on experience, candidate should preferably have an NQF Level 5 (or equivalent) diploma or gone through a relevant apprenticeship.
At least 1-2 years of multi-disciplinary, hands-on draughting experience in Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
Experience with more advance features in Inventor (iLogic, parameter-driven iProperties, BOM Management, etc.) will be an advantage.
Experience at an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will be an advantage.
Official course done in Autodesk Inventor and Vault will be an advantage.

KEY COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE)
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Projects, Teams.
Autodesk AutoCAD.
Autodesk Inventor & Vault (advanced competency).
ERP (Epicor) - training will be provided as required in this instance.
Inventor I-Logic (added Advantage).
Valid driver’s license.
Must be self-motivated.
To have good organizational skills.
To be a definite team player, as well as being able to work well on his/her own.
Need to have a passion for detailed design work.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
Ability to work long hours and overtime when required.
Needs strong problem solving and innovative design capability.
Numerical skills.

Duties Include:
Duties & Responsibilities
KEY OUTPUTS
Planning of daily activities to meet project/task deadlines + time logging on jobs.
Timeous reading and dealing with correspondence (multiple e-mails per day).
Detailed Design & Drawing work - From conceptual hand sketches to in depth 3D modeling, assembly and manufacturing drawings (Mechanical drawings and to some extend Electrical / Instrumentation diagrams).
Housekeeping of Autodesk Vault.
ISO requirements in terms of reporting, specifications, distributing registers etc.
Adhere to drawing office standards, procedures and quality management plan.
To assist with
creating & maintaining parts/boms/specifications
Run with new design projects for customers from enquiry to implementation phase, including
o Site visits to determine client’s needs
o Order processing into Production environment
o Detailed design & drawing creation & issuing
o Interfacing with other in-house depts. and suppliers on project
o Creating parts list schedules (up to 2000 parts per design/project, up to 500 drawings)
o Timeous feedback to Engineers and Team Leaders
o Occasionally attend site visit for assisting/overseeing installation & hot commissioning of project
Specialist technical(mechanical) support on projects and related equipment via telephone, e-mail or Teams.
Processing of Sales Orders (engineering evaluations, specification of equipment to be supplied, drawing/documentation requests, waybills to production).
Comply with legislation, company specific and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
