PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Quality Technologist Intern will provide dedicated, hands-on technical support to the process Quality team in primary explosive manufacturing. The intern will learn and contribute to integrating quality into product development and enhancing quality execution in operations, applying chemical and engineering principles to ensure process precision, compliance and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support technical review of design specifications and drawing for manufacturability, testability and quality compliance.
Assist in the development, documentation, and validation of robust Quality Control Plans for new products and components.
Assist with compiling data and support preliminary technical risk assessments (e.g., FMEA activities) for quality gate reviews.
Apply chemical/engineering knowledge to support root cause analysis of process deviations and non-conformances.
Aid in the collection, statistical analysis, and visualization of critical process data (SPC) for monitoring and control.
Help maintain and update essential quality documentation (e.g., PMI, Control Plans) to reflect operational best practices.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of quality-related reviews, audits, and client engagements.
Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
