Plant Manager: Artillery & Mortar
Experience Needed:
BSc or BTech in Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Explosive environment with at least 2 years in managing a team.
Fully computer literate and has excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with ERP / MES systems.
Good communication, planning and organizing skills

Duties Include:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for all manufacturing and operational activities in the Insensitive Artillery and Mortar plant at Boskop. This includes resource scheduling and optimization to supply product safely, on time, at the contracted quality standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all daily activities and operations in the respective plants.
In conjunction with the production planning section, prepare and manage production schedules to achieve the sales plan. This includes all resources, material, components, facilities, labor and equipment.
Manage, monitor and report production against the Master Production Schedule and participate in risk mitigating actions.
Set and manage the operational overheads and labor budget / forecast.
Control and monitor direct cost of manufacturing.
Resolve plant downtime through risk evaluation and task prioritization with the engineering section.
Ensure adheres and Implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance with ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental
Maintain discipline and comply with company policies, practices and procedures.
Support company vision and value system and ensure calibration throughout the team.
