PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service:

Coach and guide salesclerks in product knowledge and selling skills.
Identify client needs and resolve queries.
Advise and inform clients on product ranges and offers.
Implement in-store promotions:

Consult with suppliers and product managers to determine price and product offering.
Do sales forecasts and initiate orders.
Obtain promotional material, do merchandising and run promotion.
Provide support and advice during promotion.
Maintain and monitor stock availability:

Perform stock forecasts and order stock.
Ensure the correct receipt of stock according to procedures and policy.
Merchandise and pricing of stock and ensure continuous stock taking.
Analyse redundant stock reports and implement corrective measures.
Liaise with suppliers regarding volumes, delivery terms and conditions.
Manage and develop staff.
Monitor expenditure, income and report on variances and implement corrective measures.
