• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council;
• Qualified pharmacist;
• Computer literacy; and
• 2-3 years relevant experience;
• Must have a good understanding of the various medical schemes and scheme rules;
• Must have good pharmacology knowledge.
Duties Include:
• In line with the scope of practice for qualified pharmacists set out by the South African Pharmacy Council;
• In line with the scope of practice for qualified pharmacists set by the South African Pharmacy Council;
• Responsible for dispensing of prescription medication, patient counselling, supply of over-the-counter medication and dispatch of parcels;
• Ordering and control of stock (medication, surgical sundries and equipment);
• Communicating with prescribers, patients and other clinical/medical professionals;
• Keeping patients' records complete and updated with all current medical/relevant information;
• Problem-solving in general.
