Duties Include:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the entire Slaughter and other production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting production targets
Maintaining high standards of meat quality and safety, and adhering to relevant regulations and standards (e.g. Meat Safety Act, Health Management System)
Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation protocols throughout the Abattoir, including the Slaughtering area, cool rooms, and surrounding areas
Supervising and managing production staff, including scheduling, training and performance evaluation
Managing the efficient use of resources, including equipment, materials and energy, to optimise production costs
Ensuring the humane treatment of animals during the slaughtering process, adhering to animal welfare regulations and best practices
Managing the storage and inventory of raw materials and finished products, ensuring efficient stock rotation and minimising waste
