A Glow in the Cold: New Festival Warms Hearts at Abraham Kriel Children’s Home

Christmas in July is what Abraham Kriel Children's Home's first ever Winter Wonderland can be described as. Visitors can expect to be greeted by millions of lights upon arrival, and as you walk through the grounds, you will be transported to a Christmas Village. The freezing temperature is a paid actor.

27 June - 4 July 2025 sees a new venture for one of Potchefstroom's most beloved organisations - Abraham Kriel Children's Home. As headmaster, Mr. Christie Saayman, explained, all proceeds will go towards funding the home. Every project taken on by the Abraham Kriel team is done with the children in mind.

Visitors can expect new displays and even more lights than during the annual LiggieFees. There will be hot foods and beverages to keep the cold at bay, all whilst the sounds of big names such as Karlien van Jaarsveld and Die Piesangskille entertain the crowd in the background.
