A beautiful new tradition has been born at The High School for Girls Potchefstroom, as the Class of 2025 unveiled the school’s very first Girls High Lock Bridge, a symbol of unity, memory and the enduring bond shared by every learner who walks through its gates.

With excitement and pride, the girls added their locks to the bridge, each one representing a unique journey, a dream, and a chapter in the school’s rich legacy.
🔒 Locks of Memory, Strength and Sisterhood
The Lock Bridge stands proudly as a reminder that the Girls High experience is more than just academics, it’s about connection, belonging and becoming part of something bigger. Every lock tells a story. Every girl adds her voice. Every year deepens the legacy.
As future generations add their own locks, they will join a chain of young women who stood before them, each reminded of:
Her strength
Her purpose
Her journey
And the lifelong sisterhood she is part of
It is a celebration of identity and a tribute to every girl who leaves her mark on this cherished school.
🌟 A Tradition for Generations to Come
The Lock Bridge will now become a meaningful annual moment, a place where learners can reflect on where they’ve been and dream about what lies ahead.
It is a symbol of hope, pride and unity that will stand long after the Class of 2025 has graduated, inspiring the girls who follow to live boldly, dream fearlessly and embrace the powerful sisterhood that defines Girls High. Here’s to tradition, connection, and the generations still to come. 💫
