This week, Paws Haven places a special focus on its feline residents, from strays brought in for safety to foster kittens finding new beginnings. The organisation continues its ongoing mission to reunite lost pets with their families, secure loving forever homes, and engage the Potchefstroom community in meaningful animal welfare support.

A Week of Feline Success Stories
Paws Haven and its dedicated foster community celebrated multiple successful cat and kitten adoptions this week. These highlights showcase the impact of patience, care, and compassion:
• A Tortoiseshell Sister Finds Her Forever Home
One of three dark tortoiseshell foster sisters has been adopted into a loving home. Her adopter, Mia, welcomed her with the kindness and patience she needed to thrive.
• Two Bonded Black Brothers Adopted Together
Two affectionate, inseparable black kittens have found a home where they can continue sharing their close bond. Their new mom, Jeslyn, chose to adopt them as a pair, ensuring they stay together for life.
• Tortoiseshell Sisters Adopted as a Pair
A bonded pair of tortoiseshell foster kittens, previously available for adoption, have both been adopted. Their closeness made it important for them to remain together, and their new family embraced them both wholeheartedly.
• Fluffy Tabby Foster Kitten Rehomed
A gentle tabby foster kitten has been adopted by a couple, Jolene and Rikus, who look forward to giving him a life filled with comfort and affection.
• A Special Adoption for a Special Cat
A 10-month-old ginger male with a mild neurological condition has received a second chance thanks to an exceptionally caring adopter named Joel. His willingness to provide a stable, loving home reflects the importance of adopting beyond appearances or limitations.

Currently in Foster Care: Grey Tabby Bonded Pair
Two beautiful grey tabby kittens, a brother and sister, are now available for adoption as a bonded pair. At nine weeks old, they are soft-natured, playful, eating independently, and fully litter-trained.

Stray Cats at Paws Haven: Help Reunite Them With Their Owners
A number of kittens have been brought in as strays and are currently safe at Paws Haven. Their admission numbers are listed on their respective images. Anyone who recognises them or who may know their owners is encouraged to contact Paws Haven directly.
These efforts form part of the organisation’s commitment to reunification, ensuring lost pets have every opportunity to return home.

Urgent Need for Pet Food Donations
Paws Haven is currently running very low on food supplies and is appealing to the Potchefstroom community for support.
The shelter urgently requires:
Cat food
Dog food
Kitten formula
Puppy formula
The organisation has long relied on the generosity of local residents and trusts that the community will once again step forward. Collection of donations can also be arranged.

A Closing Note
Paws Haven continues to serve as a lifeline for vulnerable animals in Potchefstroom, providing safety, rehabilitation, and the chance for a better life. From joyful adoptions to community rescues, each act of kindness contributes to the wellbeing of animals who cannot speak for themselves. This week’s stories highlight not only the resilience of these animals but also the compassion of those who choose to help them.
