A Vintage Affair with a Purpose: SAVF Rethabile Marks Women’s Day in Klerksdorp - 9 August

On 9 August 2025, SAVF Rethabile Klerksdorp CYCC is ditching the clichés and getting straight to the point with their Women’s Day celebration. No frills, no fuss, just a proper community get-together with a vintage twist and a real reason behind it.

It’s a Gathering , And You’re Invited

The event, titled “A Vintage Affair”, runs from 10:00 to 12:00 at Meiringspark Primary School, right there on Wilken Street in Meiringspark. It’s short, sweet, and to the point, the perfect Saturday morning outing before the kettle even gets a second boil.

Entry is R80 per person, but there’s a twist. Instead of rolling in empty-handed, guests are asked to bring something practical, toiletries, cleaning supplies or any non-perishable food items. Think less “bring a bottle” and more “bring a bar of soap or tin of beans”. The donations will go directly towards helping the centre support children and youth in need.

Book It Before You Forget It

There’s no need to dust off the credit card, tickets are available at the SAVF Rethabile offices, and RSVP is required by 1 August 2025. So if you’re keen to join, don’t leave it till the 8th to suddenly remember you were “definitely going to go”.

Whether you’re there for the vintage theme, the cause, or just need an excuse to get out of the house and do something meaningful, this gathering is worth pencilling in.
