If anyone has been looking for a way to settle sibling debates or office rivalries without ending up on a true-crime podcast, Solid Ground Park is hosting an Archery Tag Day on Sunday, 30 November 2025. It’s the sort of event where people get to run around with bows, fire foam-tipped arrows at their mates, and call it “team strategy” with a straight face.
What’s Happening on the Day
Archery tag is basically a mix of archery and dodgeball, except the arrows are designed to be safe, so nobody needs to arrive wrapped in bubble wrap. The organisers describe it as friendly competition that leans hard on teamwork and tactics. Families can play, work teams can play, and anyone who’s ever wanted to dramatically duck behind a barrier like they’re in an action movie can also play.
When and Where
The event runs from 11 am to 2 pm at Solid Ground Klerksdorp. The park is an activity venue, so arriving ready to move is probably a good call. Latecomers may find themselves being “welcomed” by arrows of shame from across the field.
Cost and What’s Included
Tickets are R250.00 per person. That price includes a boerie roll and a cold drink, which means even if someone’s tactical skills are questionable, at least they won’t leave hungry. The event is also an alcohol-free zone, so the only thing wobbling around should be people trying to dodge arrows, not people trying to dodge reality.
Booking and Contact Details
Spots are limited, so booking ahead is the sensible move rather than the “let’s see if we can wing it” approach. Tickets are available via Paystack
For more information, people can WhatsApp or call 063-246-8300.
There will be running, hiding, laughter, and at least one person who discovers too late that their co-workers are much faster than they look in meetings.
