AVBOB Sponsor Day Hits the Greens at Parys Bowling Club - 20 September

Lawn bowls lovers, mark your calendars and dust off your hats: the AVBOB Sponsor Day is rolling into Parys Bowling Club this September. The event promises a full day of bowling, banter, and braai-side stories, with a few added perks for the hungry and competitive alike.

R800 a Team: Snacks, Games and No Excuses

Each team will need to fork out R800 for entry, but before anyone moans, that gets you coffee, tea, snacks, and lunch. So really, if you’re not coming for the bowls, at least come for the chow. Entries close on 13 September 2025, so no last-minute panic calls, please.

The Format: Any 4’s, 3 Games, 12 Ends

Whether you're bringing the A-team or a few mates who "used to play in varsity", this format’s pretty chill. It’s open to any four players, and you'll be playing three games, each made up of 12 ends. Enough action to feel like you've earned your lunch.

Prizes? Oh Yes — R10,000 in Checkers Vouchers

There’s a tidy R10,000 in Checkers vouchers up for grabs. Not bad for a day on the greens. Whether you're eyeing groceries or that new camping chair, winning could make your next Checkers run a lot more fun.
