If you fancy yourself a bit of a Christmas gift-wrapping ninja, the Orkney and Klerksdorp Animal Shelter needs your magic touch this December. They are gearing up for their annual Gift Wrapping Event, and you, yes you, could be the hero the furry friends need.
The shelter is looking for volunteers to run a gift-wrapping station at the Matlosana Mall. This is not just a chance to show off your bow-tying skills, but a solid way to support a fantastic cause this festive season.
Details: When and Where to Volunteer
The event runs over eight days, from 16 to 24 December 2025. The location is the Matlosana Mall, found on the N12 in Klerksdorp. It’s a proper commitment, but the organisers understand that everyone has a busy schedule. Even if you can only manage one day, your help would truly “mean the world” to the shelter.
As a bonus for your dedication, the shelter is sorting out the vitals: lunch and drinks will be provided for all volunteers. No need to worry about bringing a packed lunch, then!
How to Get Involved
If you are keen to lend a hand, or if you have any questions about the gig, the process is simple.
All potential volunteers need to do is contact the shelter on 062-723-3130.
It’s all happening in Klerksdorp, so get ready to wrap some presents and contribute to a good cause. It sounds like a great way to spread some festive cheer to both people and animals.
