Learners from Carleton Jones High School delivered outstanding performances at the annual Mr & Miss Elite Merafong 2026 beauty pageant, held on 17–18 July 2026 at the Carletonville Civic Centre.
Mr & Miss Elite Merafong is an annual platform focused on youth empowerment, activism, humanitarianism, and community upliftment, providing contestants with opportunities to advance to national stages.
Individual Achievements & Titles
Carleton Jones High School celebrated top accolades across multiple categories:
Remofilwe Maropefela (Grade 9): Crowned Miss Elite Merafong Teen 2026 and honored with the Best Smile Award.
Akwande Vetezo (Grade 12): Awarded 1st Runner-Up for Mr Powerhouse Merafong, along with special awards for Best Theme Wear, Best Evening Wear, and Best Interview.
Sanda Dinwayo (Grade 11): Secured 1st Runner-Up for Miss Powerhouse Merafong.
School & Community Recognition
