City of Matlosana Announces Non-Collection of Refuse During Public Holidays

The City of Matlosana has issued a notice informing the community about changes to the household refuse collection schedule due to the upcoming public holidays. Residents should note the specific days when collection will be suspended.

Refuse Collection Suspension Dates:

• Tuesday, 16 December 2025: Household refuse will not be collected. Only Essential Services will receive collection on this day.

  • Essential Services include: hospitals, clinics, supermarkets, restaurants, and old-age homes.

• Thursday, 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day): No refuse collection will be done.

• Friday, 26 December 2025 (Day of Goodwill): Only Essential Services will be done.

Resumption of Normal Services:

Normal refuse removal services, covering both household and essential services, will resume on Monday, 29 December 2025. This includes collection on 01 January 2026.

The City of Matlosana encourages residents to take note of this schedule and plan accordingly.
