Dominant Display by Dorp as Eyes Now Shift to the Wolves Clash

The Potchefstroom Dorp Rugbyklub once again stamped its authority on home turf with three commanding victories during the club’s historic 135-Year Commemorative Match Day on 14 June. In front of a festive crowd and with support from Laerskool ML Fick, all three senior teams delivered performances worthy of the occasion.

Third Team
Potch Dorp 3 vs Alabama
✅ Final Score: 41–0
A massive shutout and strong defensive effort highlighted the day’s early fixture.
Second Team
Potch Dorp 2 vs Klerksdorp 2
✅ Final Score: 14–0
The second team kept their opponents scoreless in a tactical battle that saw Dorp execute their structures with discipline and flair.
First Team
Potch Dorp 1 vs Klerksdorp 1
✅ Final Score: 36–19
In a true test of physicality and skill, the first team overcame a determined Klerksdorp side with power rugby and excellent phase play.

Community & Celebration
Last weekend’s excitement extended far beyond the field. Laerskool ML Fick joined as special guests, with their junior rugby stars forming the tunnel for both the second and first teams before kick-off. Their presence, energy and chants added heart to a memorable club day, and strengthened the ever-growing bond between school and senior club rugby in Potchefstroom.
